NBA Superstar Gilbert Arenas: “Everybody Should Visit Manila”

You may recall that I briefly mentioned in my recent post that Gilbert Arenas was in the Philippines for a visit.

Gilbert Arenas, who currently has a blog on NBA.com, made an entry talking about his whole trip which of course included Manila as well. To my surprise (and eventual giddiness), out of the many titles he could think of, it was titled: “Everybody Should Visit Manila“. Easy to say, he sure gained a country’s worth of fans after writing that.

One thing I want to say about Filipinos: they’re very warm people, very good-hearted people. Like, everybody was nice. You know, you meet nice people, but a whole country of nice, genuine, warm-hearted people was unbelievable. These are diehard fans.

There you go guys! People may consider our country as third world and poor (it’s true) but we sure don’t lack good, heartwarming, affectionate, hospitable citizens (plus the many great places you get to see here). And that, my friends, is what makes our country great.
